Today was one of those days when nothing seems to go right (at work). Now you see my life pretty much revolves around my job, so it's easy for me to stereotype today as one of those days..
I was in office for 12 hours, which, most people that know me will tell you, is like me working for 2 days on trot. I never feel the need to work long hours. I've been checked many times for leaving after 8 or 9 hours. Most people think I have no work. Most people, I think, are incompetent. I haven't learnt the art of creating work for myself, which is something a lot of people do very effectively. They spend 4 or 5 hours coming up with something that usually takes the smarter lot to run down in about 2 or 3 minutes. They have a destination I have the direction.
But this is not about them. I guess they’re just nature maintaining the equilibrium. I’ll be honest; if there weren’t some of them then my mediocrity would not have been hyped. I know a lot of people who’re way smarter than I am and I try not to look down upon the people who aren’t (it’s just so hard!).
Well, I’m only glad this day was over. My mediocrity came to the fore and hit me square between the eyes. I blacked out for a moment, and then I picked myself up and started from the beginning. It took me about ½ and hour to become the ass hole again. The job was done. Well that too.
I guess sometimes it takes a fight to know the real killer inside you.
